The Federal Union of Scientists & Engineers (FUSE) represents 1,800 non-supervisory, professional, civil service employees at NUWC Division Newport, RI, including scientists, engineers, mathematicians, patent attorneys, accountants and others.

FUSE is Local R1-144 of NAGE - the National Association of Government Employees.  NAGE headquarters are in Quincy, Massachusetts, with offices and locals across the country.

NAGE is Local 5000 of SEIU - the Service Employees International Union, which has 1.8 million members.
