FUTURAMA-O-RAMA
Futurama-O-Rama
October - 2002
As Futurama Comics keeps on coming out with new issues we are sure to be seeing more of these trade paperback collections. They are a good way to get up to speed on all that you may have missed on the first go around and are much easier to handle then a stack of comics. This first compilation consists of the first 4 issues of Futurama Comics and for the most part that is all there is to it.
The big oppurtunity here for us fans is that there is always some nice new graphics involved and the cover to Futurama-Orama is really cool. On the inside cover there is an additional picture that is an extension of this cover and shows what happened to the Planet Express crew when their rockets landed. There is also an introduction from Matt Groening on this compilation. The covers that are reproduced from the original comics are well done but I think they could have been bigger and more prominent. They used flying billboards with each issues cover as the art and like I mentioned they are really neat but the cover image tends to be a little small.
This is an excellent way to get up to speed as well as for quick reference to older comics and share with your friends and if nothing else buy it for the cool cover.
