Here's a portfolio of my work in Excel, Access, and on the web.

bulletExcel
10-Year Property Investment Strategy: This Excel sheet was very simple; no VBA involved, but some highly advanced formulae in order to fill 10 sheets with differing investment strategies based on inputs on this initial page
Time Allocator: One of my clients was faced with a unique problem. It's a call center for a medical research company. They talk to different volunteers throughout the day, and they will frequently talk to each one about different studies. So, how do they bill time to each individual study when they have no set time spent doing so? The answer: the Time Allocator. I took the average time spent on an Outbound call, and Inbound call, and a call that resulted in a Recruit then set it up so each study had time "allocated" to it each day. I created one tab for each day of the week, and at the end of the week the call center rep would run a report capturing the total time for each study for the week. Because I was dealing with operators that could have almost no experience at all with computers, I had to make it as user-friendly as possible. So, some of the functions built-in include: -a single click emailed the day's results to supervisors -the cells that count the calls made are designed as "click-counters", so a mouse click increments the cell value by one -because there were multiple versions of Excel and Outlook used throughout the call center, the spreadsheet is designed to detect which is being used and adjust its email capabilities accordingly -since the spreadsheet uses functions only available in the Excel Analysis Tool-Pack, it auto-detects and activates this Add-In as needed -several layers of protection from users who seemingly wanted it to not work. I had to add methods to detect if they had calls made to a study but forgot to add a study number, if they put down hours of work done for a day but no calls made, etc. And yes, even the alligator logo was created by me.
TMA Fee Calculator:  The Toronto Musicians Organization contracted me to develop a centralized spreadsheet system that could help make their quote/fee process uniform.  Just by doing a few simple inputs, the sheet would generate a complete quote, including adding Per Diem fees for food and hotel stays.  This sheet was VBA intensive with several popup windows.
Data Mining: I've used Excel as a tool for data mining in several situations, ranging from Google and Yahoo to obtaining a list of shooting ranges across the United States
bulletAccess
Quality Database: A client required an application that would allow them to conduct surveys over the phone and have full statistical analysis on the results. I got started on an Access database that had a login script with password protection, two-levels of access (supervisor and operator) that allowed only supervisors to see reports, and several reports and queries.
BEACH: This was a bulk emailing program designed for a client that wanted it made in Access. I used VBA for the form functions, as well as the import of text files from external data dumps. It also used CDO to send out the emails, as there were concerns within the company about using their Exchange server.
bulletPHP
While I can't show an example due to a NDA, I modified a Moodle (computer-based training) system for Hill Top Research, utilizing PHP on a MySQL database.
bulletASP
bulletHTML
www.HillTopStudy.com: Built this website from ground up, doing the graphics, structure, design, CSS, content...all with only having access to Frontpage as an editor (yes, it's mostly hard-coded HTML with a touch of Javascript).
