MTB Rides
This Week is changing the way we organize rides
To allow for more member involvement in planning rides we are starting a Google
Group. You will be able to use this group to post rides of your own.
The new MTB Rides Google Group will take the place
of the MTB Rides This Week email. So if you want to stay informed about our
rides you will need to subscribe. Joining the Google Group is free and it
won't add your email address to anyone else's list.
If you are currently subscribed to our MTB Rides email you will be receiving an
invitation to join the MTB Rides Google Group. You will need to accept the
invitation in order to be included. Just follow the directions in the
email by clicking the "You can accept this invitation by clicking the following
URL" link (be sure to click the correct link).
If you don’t want to be a part of the group just delete the invitation, your
email will not be added to the group and you won't be included in the group's
emails. Please don't click on the "If This Message Is Unwanted" link in
the email. Too many of those will cause the group to be deleted by Google.
Once the group is in place anyone in the group is welcome to post a ride or join
a ride posted by someone else.
You can post rides either from this web site's Post A
Ride page or at the
MTB Rides Google Group
site. Before posting a ride be sure to read and follow the posting
guidelines. If you plan to join a ride be sure
your riding ability is appropriate for the
Ride Level posted for the ride.
I hope you like this new posting format.

A Word
About Our
Ongoing Weekly Rides
Tuesday - This is a fast
paced ride on moderately technical terrain. You need to be an
experienced rider in good shape to keep up. Don't make this your first ride
with us unless you are a very strong rider (this becomes a night ride when
daylight savings time ends).
Thursday - This is an
intermediate ride with a moderate to fast pace (this becomes a night ride when
daylight savings time ends).
If you are new to our group, consider starting with the Thursday
evening ride.
The Tuesday rides can be very fast paced and less accommodating.
Please read the Riding Etiquette
page before coming on any of the rides. Most of our rides are designed for
intermediate or advanced riders in good condition. If you are a novice
rider, you should get a few rides in on your own, before attempting the group
rides.
If you have a two way radio bring it. It will help us stay in contact, especially on long
rides. (Channel 7/35)
