AMC Wyoming Pond Trip
Wyoming, RI
Thurs 10 July 2008

This late afternoon trip generally involves paddling on calmer water, although some wind and current is usually encountered.

You should have some paddling experience and feel comfortable in and have basic
skills getting into/out of, turning and controlling a canoe/kayak.
We will meet at the put-in (which is also the take out)
by the Wood River boat access at Rts 138 and 3 in Wyoming, RI.
Please call or Email Me to let me know you are interested
and to confirm the time.
Please bring:

        boat
        paddle(s)
        life jacket
dry clothes in plastic bag (just in case)
        water bottle (or non-alcoholic beverage)
bug repellent  (if desired, mosquitoes will probably show up, too)
        flashlight (optional)

We will paddle up river (slight/no current) as far as we can, and then turn around
and come back to the put-in (about 2-3 miles total).

Steady rain/thunderstorms will cancel.  Call before 5:30 PM if in doubt.
We may swing by the Wood River Inn accross the street for refreshment after we're
done if group interest so dictates.
