Czech republic

A recent visit to Prague in the Czech Republic proved that my opinion from a previous holiday there was most correct. It is a wonderful city. It is charming and inexpensive. Qualities which are less common than they once were in Europe.  Above all it is gay friendly. The language is very difficult, but many people speak English, so it's a serious a problem.

Rooms are easily available for as little as $30.00 per day and meals can be had for $3.00 to $4.00. Their wonderful beer is as cheap as it is good.  Don't miss it while it is like this. It will soon be one of the major spots to visit and prices will probably climb.

Costa Rica

What a super place.  San Jose, its capitol, is a bustling city with too much traffic and lots of good looking men.  The people are courteous and easy-going.  Several gay bars there and guys are easy to pick up.  Costa Rica is the sex capital of Central America.

Hotels are cheap and most other things are at the very least reasonable.  The gay hotel “Colors” is out of the way and far from the center of the action.  A better bet is either Joluva or Kekoldi.

Another gay mecca is Manuel Antonio.  A beach area near the town of Capos.  The most prominent gay bar there is Cockatoo.  Several gay hotels are available.  If sex is your goal it is advisable to pick up a boy in San Jose and take him with you to the Manuel Antonio.  There do not seem to be as many available men as in the big city.

One wonderful attraction near San Jose (close to the airport) is Ohos de Agua.  It is a swimming area with three pools fed by a natural spring.  The water is cold but you can just sit around and enjoy the views.  Lots of nice looking Latin men in swim suits.  Wednesday is Gay Day.  About 90% gays on this day.  You may need a taxi to get there.  Share one to save on expenses.

Out of the capital there is much to see.  Rainforest, cloudforest, volcanoes and wonderful waterfalls and lakes.  Nature is the name of the game.
