My lesbianism is an act of Christian charity. All those women out there
praying for a man, and I'm giving them my share.

NEW UNDERWEAR AND SOCKS PROGRAM

Used Clothing Program

The used clothing is only kept for a week, take anything you like. There is lots of good thing to choose from in the room..

Saint Therese has influenced and intervened in the lives of HIV+ men and women. One young man whose opportunistic infections had taken control was not expected to live through the night. He prayed to the Little Flower for intercession. Not only did he survive through the night he lived for two more years crediting Saint Therese with keeping him alive. Members of Therese Martin’s family currently work at the Pasture Institute in France. This is the Institute where the HIV virus was discovered Hopefully through the research work of her family members and prayers of intercession to Saint Therese, a cure for HIV may be discovered Many HIV+ people continue to pray to Saint Therese as a “patron saint of people who are HIV+” and many continue to credit her with showering down blessings in their lives. Everywhere in the lives of HIV+ people roses continue to fall.

The Little Flower, as she is often called, Saint Therese of Lisieux became a saint not by performing great miracles but by doing little things with great love —     putting up with frustrating companions, obeying superiors, finishing the laundry. So ordinary did she appear some of the sisters in her convent were unaware of her remarkable prayer life until after her death.

“My mission to make God loved— will begin after my death, “she said “I will spend my heaven doing good on earth. I will let fall a shower of roses.” Countless lives have been touched by her intercession, and thousands have imitated her “little way. “She has been acclaimed the “greatest saint of modern times.”

TELEPHONE NETWORKING VOLUNTEERS

The telephone Networking program is open to all persons whose time is limited and are, therefore, not available for volunteering during normal business hours. Volunteers involved in this program may work from their home.

DUTIES: Will involve calling 5-10 clients on a weekly basis. These calls are designed to “check-in” with the client and to relay information between Saint Therese Center and the client directly. The volunteer will also maintain contact with the Telephone Networking Supervisor on a regular basis to check for new information, which needs to be relayed.

HOURS OF Availability: Volunteers are asked to select a day of the week on which they will call their clients. This information will be relayed to the client so that the client is aware of the date and the approximate time the call will be placed.

TRAINING: Training will include a mandatory session on crisis intervention, telephone HIV etiquette and an explanation of policies procedures and forms. Updates may be conducted on a quarterly basis.

COMMITMENT: Networking volunteers are asked to make a minimum six-month commitment, although commitments of a longer duration are welcomed. Networking Volunteers are also encouraged to attend Volunteer Support Groups and In-service Training Sessions.
