Immediate opening for School Psychologist in Columbia MO Public Schools (CPS). Columbia MO is a city of approximately 100,000 people, situated in between Kansas City and St. Louis.  It is host to the University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia College and Stephen’s College and provides a diverse educational setting.  Our district has one opening for a full time School Psychologist for the 2009-10 school year.

School Psychologists are primarily responsible for conducting multidisciplinary evaluations for special education eligibility, to conduct functional behavioral assessments and engage in consultation, individual/group counseling, and prevention/intervention efforts.  Candidates with experience with the problem-solving approach and RTI initiatives are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must have an Ed.S. or Ph.D. degree in School Psychology and must gain certification as a School Psychologist in Missouri.  3-5 years of experience in the field of School Psychology is preferred.

Applicants are encouraged to visit http://www.columbia.k12.mo.us for an application and for an introduction to our excellent school District.  Successful applicants will be offered a competitive salary and full medical and dental benefits. (posted 8/6/09)
