July 4, 2003, Great Bend, Kansas. Wow!
The Great Bend Fire Department responded to 25 blazes started by fireworks. They were assisted by fire departments from Ellinwood and Pawnee Rock. Ambulance crews made 6 runs. The local high school plans reunions around the July 4 celebrations. This small town of 15,000 people knows how to party!
