Fourth quarter report cards will be sent home with students today.

New Leave Provision Created to Promote School Involvement
The RIFTHP joined the Rhode Island PTA in supporting an extension of the
RI Family and Medical Leave Act. The new leave provision labeled "School
Involvement Leave" allows for 10 hours of unpaid leave for parents to attend
school conferences and other school-related events. H5270, Substitute A
(Rep. Nancy Benoit,et al) and S244 (Sen. Thomas Izzo. et al) easily passed
both Chambers. The Provision was enacted into law effective June 23.
