The Garden District Civic Association
presents the seventh Tour of Homes on Sunday, April 29, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
at four properties in the Garden District in Baton Rouge.
In 1995, the Garden District Civic
Association started a tradition that showcases the diverse and unique homes and
gardens that make the Garden District a Baton Rouge treasure. Since that time the tour has been held six
times and almost 40 homes have been opened to the public.
Our neighborhood has a rich and
colorful history and we welcome everyone to our homes and our community. With the revitalization of the downtown and
mid-city areas of Baton Rouge this is an especially important time to share the
strong sense of
community that is prevalent here.
It is a place of Easter Egg hunts, Ice Cream
Socials and street parties. It is a
place where you can ride your bike, walk your dog and know everyone on your
block by their first name.
The properties that we will showcase
are at 2021 Terrace, 608 Drehr, 909 Park, and 2163 Tulip. Live jazz music and refreshments will be
enjoyed in the garden at 2163 Tulip.
Tickets can be purchased for $10.00 at either of two
