Bridgestone's most popular model was their revolutionary small twin, at first a 175cc and later enlarged to 200cc. First introduced in 1965, they featured twin rotary valves, chrome-bore aluminum cylinders, a full cradle frame, a transmission convertible from four-speed rotary shift to five speed return shift by turning a small lever and, the best looks to come on a small motorcycle ever (No, I am not prejudiced!). The 175cc was rated at 20 HP @ 8000 RPM and the 200cc at 22 HP @ 8000. I restored this 175 "Hurricane Scrambler" in 1997 and it was awarded 1st place in the Japanese '60's class at the 1997 Del Mar Concours.
