About this Weather Site

All pages from this site (with the exception of the Other Info page) is being updated by the Oregon Scientific WMR-968 Weather Station.  Updates occur from sample data from remote sensors placed in and around my house about once every 15 minutes.

The weather station is located in the western suburbs of Omaha, NE USA.

Hardware

The Oregon Scientific WMR-968 is a wireless weather station made by Oregon Scientific.  I received mine as a special birthday gift from my wife in May of 2000.  It was purchased online from Ambient.  With the exception of some squirrels chewing on one of the sensor wires, I haven't had any problems with it.

Software

I am currently running Virtual Weather Station Internet Version 12.07 from Ambient.  It polls statistics from the WMR-968 weather station and updates the pages to this weather site.
