Georgia Sidecar Club

Eddie’s Middle Friday Campout December 2004

Editor's note: This campout included a military appreciation day where the Georgia Sidecar Club took a military family out to dinner. Being the Christmas Season we came bearing gifts. (The mother is stationed in Iraq.)

First things first-- We had a very nice Christmas party and everyone brought really nice gifts for the children of Sgt Rickie Spivey. The party was shorter than usual because we did not do a gift exchange. The campout came with dry but cool weather. Art and Katie Rhoades, Frank and Betty Cabeza, Pete Hefele, Debra Ogle and Eddie George were the crazy ones camping. Bill Kurtz was there Friday evening but had prior obligations and could not remain for the weekend.

To all the members of this club I want to say a great big Thank You!!! You were all very generous with your gifts and they were all appreciated. For those who did not make it to the lunch, you missed a real treat. When we gave the kids rides in the sidecars their smiles and eyes lit up the evening skies. I think they would have ridden all night. Even the grandmother went for a ride. Again--Thank You very much. Our next campout will be at the George L. Smith State Park in Twin City, GA April 15-16, 05. There are only 25 campsites so reservations are recommended. 1-800-864-7275
