These 6 steps may be beneficial to your club’s successful fundraising projects:
  1. Appoint an enthusiastic fundraising chairman to plan and manage fundraising programs.
  2. Assess your club needs and goals.
  3. Solicit project ideas from club members.
  4. Communicate and promote your events with flyers and use of the media.
  5. Schedule workers and enjoy yourselves!
  6. Evaluate the financial success and the publicity an event created for your club.
GFWC has a booklet available from the GFWC Materials Center, “GFWC Successful Fundraising Ideas" that may be useful to your fundraising chairman. Attend other club events within your district to gather new ideas as well as support the efforts of fellow club members. Remember that support of club, district and state fundraising efforts is an opportunity for all club members. You can enhance fundraising efforts and community projects by participating in coupon programs designed to provide in-kind donations from companies such as Campbell’s Labels for Education. Apply for grants whenever possible. Check your GFWC Club Manual (Special Projects Tab) for GFWC endorsed fundraising companies you may wish to use.

NFWC FUNDRAISING goes on at all District and State Conventions. Please support the work of this administration to help generate non-dues revenue to support NFWC. Encourage the support of those members who do not attend conventions by showing your purchases at your next club meeting. Those members might want to purchase items too.

GFWC FUNDRAISING through direct mail fundraising efforts can be a tax-deductible donation when note cards, address labels, calendars or holiday cards are received. Understand that participating in direct mail fundraising is strictly voluntary. The gift items are sent to you without obligation and at any time you wish to have your name added or deleted from the GFWC direct mail database, please contact GFWC Headquarters and advise them. GFWC has a Legacy Fund that ensures the successful future of GFWC. The GFWC Materials Center can provide the information you need.

Fundraising reports are due February 1st, 2007 and 2008. They are listed as “ GFWC Special Projects” on the report form. Please include a narrative so that we know what your club did each year. Remember there is ”fun” in Fundraising.
