Mr. George Augustus Roberts, C.B.E., F.R.C.S., who retired as consulting surgeon to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, died at his home at Winchester yesterday at the age of 87. He was born in 1875, son of the Rev. A. Roberts and was educated at Marlborough. During the First World War he was surgeon to the Winchester Red Cross Hospital. He was created C.B.E. in 1920. In 1906 he married Florence Muriel, daughter of Colonel A. McLeod Mills. They had three sons and two daughters. |
