Henry Vale 1834-1917 Henry was born abt 1834, the son of John Vale and Hannah Southgate, at Walthamstow, Essex. Henry and Ann were both simgle when they met aboard the ship taking them to New Zealand. Apparently, during the four month trip, they became well acquainted, since they married the following year. Ann Marsh 1833-1914 Ann was born on 5 September 1833, the daughter of John Marsh and Ann ?, at Monkwearmouth, County Durham. After both of her parents had died, she traveled to New Zealand with her cousin, John Blair Thompson and his new wife. I have not identified any children. |
