Joseph was born about 1887, the son of William Forrest and Mary Ann Errington, at Stockton on Tees, County Durham.
He was killed during World War I, when his ship, the collier HMS Lady Cory Wright, was torpedoed by the German U-boat, UC-17, 12 miles off Lizard, Cornwall, on 26 March 1918. Lily Abraham 1892- Lily was born about 1892, the daughter of John Abraham and Martha Church, at Stockton on Tees, County Durham. She remarried after the death of Joseph.
