Laurence Gillespie Attlee 1884-1969 Laurence was born on 6 November 1884, the son of Henry Attlee and Ellen Bravery Watson, in London. He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire. He then attended Lincoln College, Oxford University. He graduated from Oxford with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Army Service Corps. He married Laetitia "Letty" Rotton. Laetitia "Letty" Rotton 1896-1973 Laetitia was born on 6 May 1896, the daughter of John Richard Charles Rotton and Margaret Eleanor Moser, in London. I have identified the following children. |

Requiem at 2 p.m. on Friday, 23rd February, at St. Thomas Church, Groombridge, Sussex, followed by private cremation. No mourning or flowers, by her request, but donations to St. Thomas Church, if desired. |
