Richard was born about 1681, the son of Samuel Warren, the Vicar of Ashford, Kent.
He attended public school in Ashford.
He entered Jesus College, Cambridge in 1697.
Graduated B.A. in 1700, and M.A. in 1703, B.D. in 1718, and D.D. in 1718.
He was ordained a priest on 3 June 1705.
Was Rector of Harlton, Cambridge in 1706; Vicar of comberton 1709-18, and Vicar of Hinxton 1711-16.
He was Rector of Graveley 1718-21, and of Cavendish, Suffolk 1721-48.
He was Archdeacon of Suffolk 1745-48.
He married Priscilla, daughter of John Fenner.

Samuel entered the College of Trinity Hall, Cambridge in 1747.
He graduated, and was ordained a Deacon in York in 1750, and a priest in 1753.
He became the Rector of Leverington, Cambridgeshire in 1754. In 1758 he traveled to South Carolina, settling in Santee, just inland from Charleston, South Carolina. He remained there until 1774, when he returned to England. Being warmly attached to the Colonial cause he returned to South Carolina in 1778. He died there on 23 March 1789, and his burial was in Echaw Churchyard. |
