Thomas Jones Elliot 1847- Thomas was born on 13 September 1847, the son of Launcelot Elliot and Sarah Jones, at the Master Mariners' Cottages, Westoe, South Shields. His father was the Assistant Harbour Master, and later became the Harbour Master.
