Sir William Curtis                           1804-1870
William was born on 26 August 1804, the son of William Curtis and Mary Ann Lear, at Southgate, London. He was educated at Eton. He attended St. John's, Cambridge. Succeeded his father as 3rd Bart., 16 March 1847. This third Sir William Curtis outlived his eldest son (William Edmund) and the re-marriage of his daughter-in-law. He died on 7 November 1870. The Baronetcy passed to his grandson, William Michael Curtis.
