Allan James Marr
   Allan James Marr                         1907-1989
Allan was born 6 May 1907, the son of William Bell Marr and Hilda Carse. He was educated at Oundle and Durham University, became Chairman and Managing Director Sir James Laing & Sons Ltd., was also a Director of Doxford and Sunderland Shipbuilding and Engineering. He married Joan de Wolfe Ranken on 1 June 1935.
