John "Jack" Wyllie Thompson    1886-1948
Jack was born about 1886, in Fulwell, County Durham, the youngest son of Robert Thompson and Georgiana Andrew. He was Christened 7 September 1886, at Monkwearmouth Venerable Bede church. He married Norah Miller in 1915. John died in The Oaks Nursing Home, in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, on 5 January 1948.

Mollie was the daughter of J. L. Miller of Washington, County Durham.

  THOMPSON - On Jan 5, 1948, peacefully, after a long illness, in a nursing home at Haywards Heath, John Wyllie Thompson, of Appletree Cottage, Bolney, Sussex, dearly beloved husband of Nora Thompson, director of Stanley and John Thompson, Ltd., aged 61 years.   Funeral private.   No flowers.   Memorial service will be held at the Church of Saint Ethelburga-the-Virgin, Bishopsgate, London, E.C.2, on Friday, Jan. 9, at 11:30 a.m.
