Andrew Michael Grellis 1871-1959 Andrew Michael was born about 1871, in Malta, the son of Michael Grellis and Elizabeth Byrne. He started his military career as a drummer boy for the Royal Scots Guards. He served as a sergeant in the Army in the Boer War (1891-1902). He married Daisy Amelia Doust in 1896, at Gravesend, Kent. He served in the Territorials as a Quartermaster from 1906 to 1908. He then became an insurance agent, but the World War conflict brought him into the Royal Flying Corps. With the end of that conflict, Andrew became a clerk with the Minister of Labor. He then worked for the Scottish Forestry Commission. He died in 1959.
