Resident Director  -
Tina Grinold
Tina has just joined the Glastonbury ABC house as Resident Director.  She is an English Teacher at Glastonbury High School as well as Advisor for the Drama Club and Co-Advisor for the Ballroom Club.  She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Masters from the University of Connecticut.
She brings an extensive background of working with youth of all ages through both her work and her volunteer activities.  She is excited about working with the ABC scholars and thinks they are special and unique students.  She wants to “support the scholars’ growth and success in the Glastonbury community both in school and out.”  The boys have quickly taken to her and her dog “Sid”, now a part of the ABC family.

Resident Tutor –
Kyle Craig
Growing up in the West Indies, Kyle Craig had the opportunity to study his favorite subject, aerospace engineering.  While attending college in Florida, he developed an affinity to travel in the U.S.  That landed him in Connecticut, where he works as an engineer for Pratt & Whitney.  Kyle expresses deep thanks and affection for the people who invested in his development.  He felt that devoting time to the ABC program would be a way of expressing his gratitude to all who have helped him over the years.  “I saw this as a great opportunity to be a positive part of younger peoples’ lives,” Kyle said, adding “I want to leave them with an experience that they can share with the next generation.”

Part Time Tutor
Allison Raggie
Allison joined the staff at the ABC house in September of 2008.  She currently teaches Spanish at Glastonbury High School.  Ali is responsible for conducting tutoring sessions twice a week and providing regular academic updates to the Resident Tutor.  Although small in stature, she is large in her enthusiasm, energy and ability to motivate our scholars.  We are delighted to have Ali as part of the team.

House Cook
Ronda Kaplan
Ronda returned in September of 2008 after an 11 year absence.  She is responsible for meals four nights of the week and also has oversight of the scholars when the Resident Directors are unavailable.  Our scholars frequently check in with her after school to discuss their activities and sometimes help with the cooking.
