This was a double first for us. This was our first trip to the snow in our motorhome "SurfChief" and it was the first time we found MUCH snow everywhere up to 2 feet deep. It was fun to play in the snow until frozen and then go in to warm up and sip hot chocolate or tea and hot chicken soup...

Ok, what is the FIRST thing to do in snow? Nicole gets her snow man started.

Actually she found the base, body, and head of the man lying there on the ground. Now she is adding the face and hat.

We took Sherrie and Sherrie, great friends of Kika and Nicole and I. Much fun was had by all.

It was a perfect day, then it got better. It actually snowed. It was the first time in my life to see snow fall from the sky. Way Cool !!!

She got frozen to the bone but Kika had a great time taking pictures and sliding on a boogie board down the hill.

Nicole decided some animals needed to have a place to live and made a home for them complete with acorns for dinner.

This is the home Sherrie and Nicole made for the little critters...

Time to throw open the gate and get back to reality, (where it is warm). It was great fun to visit the winter wonderland and just as much fun to come back to the warm sunshine of San Diego. Where else can you surf in the morning and drive 1 hour to play in the snow?
