One Proof of a Pre-Creation Intelligence

Otherwise Known as God

To appreciate a creator of the universe, one might see his intelligence in the design of the created. Indeed, we do see such phenomena in the universe in the arrangement of the moon and the sun with regard to the earth. The way these celestial bodies are situated is nothing less than miraculous. There are those who would deny the existence of God, and in so doing, deny any pre-planned design, attributing all construction to random chance. This may be so in the following discussion, but what are the chances?

First some data facts about the planetary bodies in discussion:

The moon is 2160 miles in diameter while the sun is 864,000 miles in diameter. (The earth is 7926 miles in diameter). Also, the moon is approximately 240,000 miles from the earth, while the sun is approximately 93,000,000 miles from earth. The mass of the moon is 1/81 the mass of the earth, and the mass of the sun is 330,000 times that of earth.

Now, given the immense differences in size, mass and distance of the sun and the moon from the earth, it is incredible that when viewed from the surface of the earth, these two tremendously different bodies are the same size in the sky, that is, .5 degree arc.

The second unique character of the solar system creation is that our moon has a rotation of 27.322 days which is exactly the same as its revolution around the earth. Because it spins once on its axis for each revolution around the earth, the one side of the moon always faces toward earth, and has done so for millennia.

Given these two circumstances, one must ask, "How could a random explosion of the big bang theory produce these highly improbable conditions as described above?" One might answer that just random chance could have done it, given the size of the universe and the number of bodies within it. However, one must also couple with such a random chance the evolutionary chance of spontaneous life appearing which resulted in organisms which can create computer networks and discuss these matters in a forum called the "World Wide Web". This would also be 'random chance'. Yet, I would ask the reader to consider that this is just too much chance, stretching credibility to the point of impossibility. Rather, an intelligent, creative Being may have constructed this universe with great precision, and He may be the One who placed us here by His own designing hand. To accept chance theory as the explanation of these astrological formations is synonymous with accepting the shaking a bag of sand and coming out with a pentium microchip.

Of course the reader must decide for himself. I would ask you to consider, "what are the chances of the above occurring through random, mindless events? Could God really exist?"
