Jay stars in his first feature film DEAD MEN. Written & Produced by George Smith. Directed by Scott Hansen.

SYNOPSIS: Work hits too close to home for funeral home attendant Doug when his fiancee kills herself while keeping him company on an overnight shift... with Doug's gun. Unable to call the police for appearance of foul play, Doug calls his coworkers Jay and Steve for help. But as complications rise and tensions escalate, Jay and Steve are forced to confront the possibility they may have more to fear from Doug than from the cops.

August 3rd:

HONEST TO DEATH, written and directed by Jay Gates for the 48 Hour Film Project. Jay and his team were given a genre, a character, a prop, a line of dialog and 48 hours to put them all together to make a short film. The result was Jay's first attempt at making a horror film...but of course he had to make it funny too. See it HERE.

May 1st:

SUBS, a sitcom pilot written and directed by Jay Gates completes post production on May 1st. Starring Jay Gates, Jason Kypros and Amoreena Wade, SUBS is the story of college roommates who study by day, party by night, then wake up at the crack of dawn to substitute teach in order to pay for it all. Every day is a new challenge with a new group of unruly kids to deal with, while handling their college workload, and still making happy hour.
