This page is designed to answer frequently asked questions that I recieve regarding this page. If you have a question that is not addressed here, please feel free to e-mail me at mark_lookabaugh (at) cox.net and I will try to answer it. I love to get E-mail, especially from Star Trek fans!
Are these comics for sale?
No. This page is for information purposes only. It is not an advertisement for sale. It's taken me quite a long time to collect these books. I couldn't bear to part with them!
I have Star Trek comics for sale. Do you want to buy them?
No. I am not currently looking to purchase any of these comics. To sell your comic collection, try an auction service such as EBAY.
Where can I buy these comics?
To begin with, try your local used book store or comic dealer. They may have some of these comics in very nice condition fairly cheaply. Larger, permanent flea markets are another good place to look if you are on a budget. Chances are however, that you will eventually need to contact a store outside of your local area in order to complete your collection. I can recommend the following sources:
Mile High Comics - The largest retail comic dealer in the nation. They carry over 5 million back issues. Mile High will usually have at least half of the Gold Key Star Trek books in stock at any given time. You can expect prices to be at, or slightly above guide price.
All About Books and Comics - Located in Arizona, this store is a gem as far as customer service goes. I have had many wonderful transactions here. Highly recommended.
E-bay Auction Service - The biggest on-line auction house in the world. Once there, search for auctions matching the words "gold key and star trek" to find what you are looking for. You can get quality comics cheaply here. This is also a great place to find those hard-to-get early issues (especially if you want the higher grades). Be sure and check the references of the person offering the item!
Internet Comic Link - Comic Link strives to make sure that valuable comics are a liquid asset. They bring buyers and sellers together. You can expect quick shipment, and VERY strict grading from these folks. Highly recommended.
All of the cover shots look perfect. Are your comics all in mint condition?
No. In some cases, digital editing was used to remove cover blemishes or stress marks, creases, etc. In all cases, the original colors were preserved.
