The Legendary Coldwater Country Lubbock, Texas, America...

The structure that became Coldwater Country was originally a bowling alley. It later became a country and western dance hall called "Bigger than Dallas". In 1978 it was purchased and remodeled by the Kingfish Corporation--a Texas entertainment company. Its 10,000 square foot dance floor and good-time atmosphere, was the answer to every Texas Tech University student's country and western dream. Great times were had night after night with live country music coupled with a wall shaking disco system. "Crash 'n' Burn Night" featured fifty cent Lonestar beer and fifty cent tequila shots every Wednesday evening (Yee Ha!).
