Welcome to my web site! Not too many years ago, I laughed just thinking about those who were making a personal web site but since then I've come to appreciate the wealth of information that is contained in them. So, like so many other things I thought I'd never do, here's my contribution. Photography has been a hobby for a long time although it is probably more correct to say that I've been in and out of photography for a long time. Sometimes it seems that I'm more interested in the technology than in making photographs. In particular, I've become fascinated by old cameras. Have you ever tried to take a picture with an old camera? It can be quite a challenge. My grand-uncle, Hubert Nelson Buck, introduced me to genealogy when I was a teenager. I recall Uncle Hubert spreading his charts over our living room floor and then crawling around on them as he told my dad and me of our family history. Years later, I began to enter Uncle Hubert's information into a computer based system. My dad and I have since been able to add to that data and doing so has been a wonderful experience. Like many families, the Buck family has its share of interesting anecdotes and characters, including several authors.
