The Day of the Drum: October 31, 2004 On Halloween Day, 2004, Diaspora played two sets at the Day of the Drum festival at Embarcadero Park, San Diego. Workshop with Olodum: June 7, 2004 In May, 2004, we moved our rehearsal location to the World Beat Center in Balboa Park, San Diego. On the first stop of their tour, Olodum gave us a percussion workshop there. We then all moved downtown to see Olodum play in a small bar under a Spanish restaurant called Cafe Sevilla.
