I've had several nicknames

& even more bands over the course of my career.

Here's a quick roundup.

  Iron Mike

         The Iron One

Metal Mike

Machinery (also know as ICU) was a loose knit group of musicians who were friends since High School and enjoyed creating music together. One demo was released in early 1992. It received attention from several indy labels but the band members pursued other goals instead.

Eulogy was formed in LA in late 1992 and disbanded in late 1993, with ex-members forming Viscera. Viscera recorded the "Stare into the Abyss" demo and disbanded shortly thereafter.

.357 was the last band to rise from Eulogy's ashes. Guitarist George Moreno and Drummer Nathan Rivera from Eulogy joined me for a brief time in Phoenix.

Scab was formed in early 1994 as a joke. Soon after, Scab had a small but loyal following and recorded 3 demos and had two CD appearances before disbanding in 1996.

Scab received much fanfare in the DC area and once their CD appearances were released gained some attention on the national level.

I've also been in numerous other bands, such as:

XLR8

Covenance

Delirium

Inner Fear

I also jammed with or did brief stints in

Sadistic Torment

 Motorcult 66

and an Extreme Death Metal band whose name you really don't want to know.

Ironchrist was formed in 1987 and promptly signed with New Renaissance Records to record their first self titled EP. One year later Ironchrist recorded their debut album "Getting the most out of your extinction" for Colossal/Restless records and sold 27,000+ copies worldwide. "...Extinction" received rave reviews and helped cement the bands place in the growing speed metal/hardcore punk crossover genre of the late 80's to early 90's.

The CD was featured on over 100 Radio Station play lists worldwide and received rave reviews from such industry greats as Kerrang, Metal Hammer, Aardshok, and Screamer. It sat in the College Radio Billboard charts top 100 list for the better part of a year.

After the band broke up, Mike moved on to sing for label mates Indestroy before moving to Southern California.
