Eleventh Annual Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Information Center of Louisiana
And Other Louisiana Relatives as Parents Conference
"Healthy Grandparents Raising Healthy Grandchildren"
The Eleventh Annual Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Conference will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn South (Airline at I-12). Grandparents and Louisiana Relatives as Parents (LaRAPP) from across the state are invited to attend. Registration begins at 7:30am.
The conference is free for all attendees. Participants must register by April 27 to receive a lunch ticket. To register, please call 225-357-0608 or mail in the Conference Registration Form.
This year’s theme is "Healthy Grandparents Raising Healthy Grandchildren."
Dr. Larry Hebert is this year's Keynote speaker. Dr. Hebert has completed numerous publications and presentations on child advocacy, children‘s health promotion programs, child protective services, and health care delivery systems. He also drafted and lobbied for passage of model Louisiana Child Protection
Statutes and Centers for the protection of children against abuse and neglect. He serves as Executive Medical Director of Unisys Corporation.
