The AFX Magnatraction Chassis (1975)

     The Magna-traction chassis shown above was a major breakthrough in that it was the first production H.O. scale chassis to use magnets ( In this case the motor magnets ) to help hold the chassis down to the track for better handling in the turns. This was achieved by using larger motor magnet which hung thru the chassis & down lower to the the track's rails for increased down force.
