***Up until 1986, TOMY had marketed some
cars (along with other toys) in Japan for AF/X! They had just taken over the
Bankrupt AF/X Division the previous year, and still did not have their own
chassis' design for these Slotcars (a combination of mostly AFX castings and (8)
of their own bodies) on AF/X chassis'. These were known as the TOMY
S-Cars and are not only Extremely Hard-to-Find,
they're VERY EXPENSIVE also!!!
***In 1986-87 TOMY came to America and the rest of the World. They brought with
them, their very own Slot car chassis'; the Turbo Car Chassis'. The Turbo Car
was a Dramatic improvement over the G-Plus design (Speed and Handling were
un-believable) due to the addition of a separate traction magnet. But by 1990
TOMY had already decided they needed a better design... So they Released the
Super G Plus chassis'. Better Magnets including separate traction magnets and an
adjustable timing block made this chassis' design #1. This SG+ design remains
un-changed and un-challenged today!
