Reduce PANIC


Panic comes from fear.
Fear comes from the unknown.


To reduce panic, we must educate ourselves, learning as much as we can about the information and research on RLS.

I highly recommend you fill your "Reduce Panic" folder    with information you gather from the following sources.


The Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation website    This is a real must. Join the RLS Foundation!! You will receive a quarterly newsletter, "Nightwalkers", which will keep you informed of all the latest RLS discoveries and theories.




Dr. Elaty's website   This is an excellent professional's website of specific medical and alternative information on RLS. It especially emphasizes the relation and importance of ferritin levels and RLS. It is also an excellent source of information on things which aggravate RLS, including other ailments and many drugs.



Southern California RLS Support Group Website   One of the best RLS sites, including an archive of letters and experiences shared by it's members. This is a real group that meets in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. The site is maintained by their supporting doctor, Dr. Mark Buchfuhrer. It has some of the best shared experiences of RLSers, as well as one of the largest gathering of alternative treatment ideas.



Jodi's Website Jodi is the moderator of the cyber support group. Her page has many excellent links and lots of information.



The Cyberspace Email Support Group   This is a free cyberspace email support group. We are over 700 people, including medical professionals, who suffer from RLS and related problems. If you do not want to be overwhelmed by lots of extra emails, register for the "Digest Version". You will receive only one large email each day, containing all the letters for that day.



Virginia Wilson's book, "Sleep Thief":   This is not the newest RLS information, but it was the first comprehensive gathering of information on RLS, up until the 1990's. A great resource and introduction to RLS information.
