Eocene & Miocene Fossils of Gainesville, Florida |
|
Welcome to George Williams' fossil picture archive. Hopefully we will be adding more pages in the future. First up are some pictures taken at Dr Gordon Hubbell's home museum here in Gainesville, Jaws International. Dr. Hubbell retired to Gainesville to pursue his lifelong hobby of collecting and researching fossil and extant shark species. His collection of giant fossil shark teeth is without peer, and researchers still count on his expertise to help reconstruct and identify their fossil shark finds. He is gracious enough to allow others to visit his home and view his unbelievable collection and works. Along with my friend Alex we spent an afternoon marveling at world's largest collection of giant shark teeth. Come take a look. Finally, please visit the my new Hogtown Creek Fossils site for my meager contributions to the local amateur paleontology of Gainesville, Florida. My old site, Gainesville's Creek Fossils, is still up also. |
