Specifics of a GYMSTERS Class

Generally, each lesson is divided into 4 activities; each activity is designed with the young child in mind.
What does the GYMSTERS child need?

Each 30 minute lesson includes:
Activity Description
Exercise/Warm-up Preparation is made for the upcoming activities by stretching, performing aerobics, practicing movements within one's own body space, and/or cooperating with others.
Two Gross Motor Activities Both of these areas encompass gross (large muscle group) motor activities using unique physical education equipment that entices the young child to want to participate, either independently or within the group.
Cool down Fine (small muscle group) motor activities include learning sign language words, where students shape their hands in the position of the sign language word for the week. In conjunction, bone and muscle names are assimilated into each lesson by playing name games with the children.
