• GYMSTERS is a motor development and physical fitness program that comes to children at their schools. Schools include private preschools, day care centers, family homes, and public/private elementary schools. GYMSTERSdance is a mobile dance program that comes to children at their school.

GYMSTERS created this unique motor development and physical education program in 1980. GYMSTERS originated in California and has expanded to Ohio and Arizona.

Physical education instructors are responsible for the distinctive lesson plans that provide motor and sensory integration in relationship to each lesson's featured child-friendly equipment and/or props. GYMSTERS teachers work closely with school personnel to determine areas of need for each age group.

Children are elated when the GYMSTERS teacher approaches their school, because they anticipate participating in a stimulating class with several new activities. Each child is educated with the following objectives in mind: health, fundamental motor movements, social enhancement, character building, leisure planning, and home interaction. Lesson cards are posted at each site to help parents understand the activities making up each class.
