All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church

March 9, 2003

Rosie's religious education class went to the All Souls Unitarian Church in Washington, D.C. The church dates back 180 years, although I think they've been in this particular building about a hundred years. It is at the corner of 16th and Harvard Streets, North West. It was a good service that included the dedication of two babies.

No offense to our own church choir but the choir and music were especially memorable.

Courtyard of the church before services. Spring is finally arriving to Washington.

Interior of the church about ten minutes before services.

There is a big pipe organ at the back of the church.

The visiting delegation from Reston watched from the upper balcony. Rosie on the lowest pew on the far right.

The choir often sings from the back of the church. The church has a sophisticated sound and music system.

The choir ventured down into the aisles to do a Native American chant to start the service.

The choir hard at work.
