Let is be known to all Mullets that Carey York, K4JAD, has been singled out for the coveted MOASS (Most Outstanding  Amateur Signal Saturation)  award in recognition of his contributions to enhancing the state of the art in amplitude modulation technology , through his courageous and tireless  efforts (4 years) in resurrecting the 'Big Rusty' transmitter (circa 1944). His eclectic collection of transmitter components is an inspiration to us all. Carey is required to remain on his best behavior or we will take our stuff back!

This transmitter is the only one on earth that is on loan from the gods. 'Big Rusty' possesses a hum that sings like a host of angels.

It has recently been brought to our attention by the Mullet Net Head Shrinker, W4RL, that certain internet filtering software is blocking the Gulf Coast Mullet Society web site from the prying eyes of the world's delinquent youth. This is considered a great honor and a ringing endorsement of the continuing efforts of the GCMS.
