| GCMS founder Charles K4QZO and about to be past GCMS President Dave W5YSA arrive safely after having traversed six northwest Florida county lines in a classic, loaded-out 1988 Caddie. Charles stated the auto pilot was a little 'cranky' the first 50 miles, but after Dave (former Naval Aviation Officer) beat it a few times with a big yellow handled screw driver (note, Dave's favorite
diagnostic item) the old gal smoothed out just fine at about 92 mph, except the windows kept going up and down. Kept everybody alert though. Dave said it was just like the old days on the Super-Connies out over the north Atlantic |
