About the Human:
(Further information is not available at your security clearance)

About the Mouse:
When I saw gathered balls of carpet fiber, and dirt pushed out from behind the shelves, I knew someone had set up housekeeping on the back porch. One hav-a-hart trap, a little peanut butter, and soon I had a mouse living in the old aquarium again.
All of the mice I've had over the years have been of the "White Footed" species, and all were caught wild or their direct decendents.Hanta was in my care well over 4 1/2 years. She (yes, despite her name she turned out to be a She) was reasonably young when I caught her, but almost full sized, so this old lady may well have seen her 5th birthday.

About the Character:
Born in the fall of 1998, the character of HantaMouse was created after I first read about FurryMUCK. I started imagining character possibilities, encounters with other character arctypes, their backgrounds.... soon a whole fictional world was growing. Six days later, the Hantaverse World Bible was complete, along with several story outlines, and a dozen characters.
Hanta is eager, optimistic, earnest, and credible... which is about as far opposite myself as is possible to get.
(BTW: I've yet to visit a MU*, and don't have any plans to.)

About the Muse:
I don't like to mention it in front of Hanta, but I've had different muses over the years. After a short initially productive stay, they all eventually left me due to inattention. I have a lurking fear that Hanta may do the same someday, and I try to be careful to give him whatever attention he asks for. He's worth it. Hanta is very good at his job. The stuff he comes up with is simply amazing sometimes, and I often feel guilty that I don't have the writing and drawing skills to give his ideas the treatment they deserve.
About the Puppet:
Someday I hope to have a HantaMouse hand puppet... but I haven't had the time yet. What I want to build is a little too ambitious for my skills. Sorta like everything I do.
