Feng Shqueak
The art of arranging mice in your home and work environment to maximize the flow of positive Squeak.
The Principals of Feng Shqueak
All homes have a small number of Loci or places where the most time is spent: The big easy chair, Your work desk, the one seat at the dining room table with a view of the TV everyone argues over.
All mice in a given room should be visible from those locations. No mouse should face directly at a room locus, face each other or in the same direction. Ideally each mouse should face across as much length of the room as possible, filling the room evenly with lines of sight that are neither parallel nor crossing.
Negative Squeak
A mouse that is not often seen will generate lots of negative squeak.
For most people, putting mice in the bathroom or kitchen is to be avoided, but if you spend several hours a week in the tub, or cooking complex meals, or working in the garage, or gardening in the back yard, it may be beneficial to encourage Squeak there. For these places at least two different mice should be present.
Putting a mouse in a dangerous location also generates negative squeak, like ceramic figurines on precarious shelves, or beanies left outside.
Species
Rats, hamsters, gerbils & such are welcome supplements to the collection, but shouldn't outnumber the real mice in any room.
There should be about 10% of totally different animal species to generate enough contrasting energies so Squeak stands out more clearly, but more than 20% and Squeak begins to be obscured.
(I've a stuffed dog, roo, & buffalo, ceramic elephant, and brass cricket)
Duplicates or twins should be together or in symmetrical position balancing each other, such as flanking a doorway or matching bookends.
Live Mice
Live mice kept as pets can generate more positive Squeak than anything else, but only if well cared for. All other mice should be kept far enough away from the cage so they don't distract from it.
Live mice running loose through the house can generate positive or negative squeak depending on how you feel about them, but either way it is probably unwise to let them stay. (I keep hav-a-heart traps and a spare aquarium ready for surprise guests)
