John and Sarah Hardman first appeared in Bewdley (Ribbesford parish register) when their daughter Mary was baptized in 1667. John Hardman almost certainly descended from the Hardman family of the Lindridge and Neen Sollars area. Descendants of John and Sarah Hardman settled in Kidderminster in the early 1700's, and most Hardiman's there are direct descendants. John Hardman and his family were living at 33-34 Wyre Hill, Bewdley, pictured below, in the 1690's (the dwelling has been rebuilt to some extent since that time).
