Thank You! List

Although the Great Voyage of 2005 will be a single handed voyage, I could not have done this alone. I’ve received help from a dozen people or so that deserve credit.  Please allow me to express my utmost thanks and wholehearted appreciation for your efforts.

The Man Upstairs

Brian Call

Sold me sv Hard Knocks last year; rebuilt cabin entrance for high seas conditions; put reefing points in main; built and helped design self-steering vane; helped paint hull; provided a book on boat repair; Fiberglas work. He also put up with my ideas and made helpful suggestions.

Thanks for the drill and believing in my ability to make my dreams come true.  Thank you also for watching Lava, and providing my lodging while I quit my job to prepare for this voyage.
This voyage would not have been  ”doable” without your assistance. Thanks for the new guitar also.. it’ll be handy.

My Father (w/His plane!)

Dan Winters Sailmakers Ltd.  Thank you for the storm jib and Mainsail, as well as advising me on the old main and what kind of specs I would need on the new sheets. With the new reefable main, and tough storm jib, I’m at least sure my sails will make it to Hawaii!  Most of all thank you for taking this venture seriously.

Dan Winers

To the staff of the Tempe West Marine, and to the Luke Tittleton of the Stockton, California store for your support!
