Tips & Restrictions
- The weight limit for the horse packs: 40 pounds per pack is strictly enforced. Multiple packs are $75.00 each.
- The weather in June will be warm with highs in the mid 90's and lows in the 70's.
- Be advised that there is always a chance of monsoons or flash floods occurring while at Havasupai. If you are not comfortable with this chance, don't attend.
- Be sure that you are in good physical condition. Become acclimated to the sun and summer heat. Be accustomed to hiking.
- Drink lots of water to avoid dehydration.
- Clip Toenails prior to the hike.
- Bring a good pair of hiking sandals (Teva, Merrell, or Alps).
- Share equipment and items with someone in your group.
- Mark your camping equipment with your name.
- Wear socks with your hiking sandals to protect your toes.
- Please be careful when packing. Think light and bring only the essentials.
- Bring an empty duffle bag or trash bag to contain your garbage. Your trash must eventually be carried out of the campgrounds back to Hualapai Hilltop.
Restrictions:
- Don't bring large, bulky food items
- Don't bring foods with lots of packaging
- Don't bring lots of glass containers
