Yavoh Ministries is a ministry with an End-Time Prophetic message in
a
Messianic-Jewish context. The Yavoh
Ministries objectives are:
— to proclaim Yeshua (Jesus) as
Messiah
and coming King of the
entire universe;
— to teach the WHOLE Bible, including the
Torah, Prophets, other writings and the New Covenant;
— to call all people to repentance from sin and to walk uprightly before
HASHEM;
— to promote the Messianic movement, the love of Yisra'el and the
importance of the destiny of Jerusalem in all our lives.
WE BELIEVE ...
in the One, True God of Heaven and earth, who
created the earth in six days and rested on the seventh;
in Yeshua the Messiah, who is our Redeemer and the Son of
the Living
God; that Yeshua is the King of Kings and Lord
of Lords; in the Spirit of the Holy One, His indwelling
presence and sanctification from the world;
that the
covenants and promises of God are forever and ever;
that no covenant of God has been deleted, annulled, or replaced;
the commandments of God are in full effect;
that
believe all commandments of God should be kept based on one's station
in life; in keeping Sabbath (resting from your
labors) from sundown on the sixth day of the week to
sundown on the seventh day of the week;
in keeping the
Biblical Holidays; in eating what is "fit and proper" as
defined by the Scriptures (Biblical
Kosher);
that salvation is a free gift of God, only by the atoning sacrifice
of
Yeshua through faith in Him;
that Yeshua will
soon return to establish His earthly Kingdom from Jerusalem;
that Yeshua came to raise up the tabernacle of the Living God
within the hearts of men; and
that the Spirit of the Holy
One (Blessed is He) resides within us.
Yes! We believe that Jesus is the Messiah and Savior. We call Him
Yeshua (His Hebrew
name) which means (He will save). The angel Gabriel said that he was to be called
Yeshua,
because He will save His people.
We support a local assembly of Jews and Gentiles who have trusted in
Yeshua the
Messiah.
We invite you, through this ministry, to investigate the Messiahship of
Yeshua.
Beginning with the garden when God slew the animals and provided a covering for Adam and
Eve,
HASHEM has been providing a covering for our nakedness and sin. Abraham told Isaac
that Elohiem would provide the sacrifice. Moshe told the children of Yisra'el to keep the
Passover with the Lamb. John the Baptist first pointed out the Lamb of God that takes away
the sin of the world.
EXPLANATION OF MESSIANIC SERVICES
A little explanation of what you will see and hear at Messianic services..
Lighting of the Candles: This event ushers in the Sabbath or holiday.
The candles are lit by the mother thus signifying that the Light of the World entered the
world through the flesh of a woman.
Kiddish: To make holy. The Kiddish cup is the cup of blessing. It
symbolizes the joy of
HASHEM
for us.
Challah: Leavened bread — This our daily bread provided by
HASHEM.
Two loaves symbolize the double portion so we don't have to gather on the Sabbath (just
like the manna in the wilderness) (This is not communion. That comes from the Passover and
we use unleavened bread for that). As believer-priests, this is in keeping with the
commandment given by God in Vayikra
24:1-8.
Use of Hebrew: So God does not need an interpreter to understand our
songs and prayers. (Everyone knows that they only speak Hebrew in heaven!)
Shema: "Hear" — The statement of faith and the greatest
commandment.
Music and Davidic Dance: The fit and proper way of worshipping
HASHEM — just as
King David did.
The Torah: The first five books of the Scripture written by Moshe
containing the "teaching" and the commandments. Each Sabbath, there is a special
reading that takes us through the annual cycle. The cycle begins in the fall after the
holidays. The Torah is the foundational teaching of our faith. It is from the
Torah that Yeshua taught and expounded upon during His earthly ministry.
Oneg: A small celebration and fellowship time after our service
including refreshments.
Kippah: The small head covering for men in our service. It means
covering thus signifying that we are covered by
HASHEM. Yarmulka is short for Yahr
"fear" Mulkah "King" meaning that you are in "fear of the
King." The King, of course, is Yeshua.
Tallit: The men's prayer shawl. Tassels on the corners remind us to
obey
HASHEM.
Shofar: The ram's horn.
Sabbath: Sundown on the sixth day of the week until sundown on the
seventh day of the week. The commanded day of rest.
